Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
- Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, Swoyambhunath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square.
- Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is listed as UNESCO Heritage site. Kathmandu Durbar Square comprises of palaces of the then Royal family, ancient temples, courtyards and small alleys which date back to 12th and 18th You can find Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple (dedicated to Goddess Durga), residence of Kumari (a living goddess).
- Our next stop is Swoyambhunath Stupa, which means “self-created”. Swoyambhunath is believed to have been established more than 2,500 years ago. An inscription dated 460 A.D. states that the construction was carried out by King Manadeva. By the thirteenth century Swoyambhunath had developed into an important Buddhist learning site. The history of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started with the beginning of Swoyambhu. The largest image of the Sakya muni Buddha in Nepal is in a monastery next to the stupa. Behind the hilltop is a temple dedicated to Manjushri of Saraswati - the goddess of learning. Statues and shrines of Buddhist and Hindu deities dot the stupa complex.
- From Swoyambhunath, we will head towards Patan for the tour of Patan Durbar Square, an UNESCO Heritage site. Patan is one of the three cities in Kathmandu valley which is famous for its fine arts. You can find Krishna Temple, Golden Temple along with other different temples and courtyards which surround the Palace area.
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Sightseeing tour of Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
- Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa. Bouddhanath is among the largest stupas in South Asia, and it has become the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. The white mound looms thirty-six meters overhead. The stupa is located on the ancient trade route to Tibet, and Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers here for many centuries.
- Drive to Pashupatinath Temple from Bouddhanath Stupa. Pashupatinath temple is one of the biggest Hindu temples and dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Here you can witness cremation ritual of Hindus at ‘Aryaghat’, the cremation area of the temple.
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changu Narayan Temple.
- Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is also an UNESCO Heritage site. Bhaktapur or "the City of Devotees" still retains the medieval charm and visitors to this ancient town are treated with myriad wonders of cultural and artistic achievements. The past glory of the Malla rulers continues to be reflected at the Durbar Square. At the Durbar Square, you can find Nyatapole Temple (dedicated to Goddess Durga), Dattatraya Temple, 55 windows Palace, Golden gate among other monuments.
- Changu Narayan is the ancient temple located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple was surrounded by forest with champak tree and a small village, known as Changu Village. This hill is about 12 km east of Kathmandu and a few mil es north of Bhaktapur. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and held in especial reverence by the Hindu people. This temple is considered as the oldest temple in the history of Nepal.
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Kathmandu to Lumbini.
- Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Lumbini to visit birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha. The spiritual heart of Lumbini is Maya Devi Temple, which marks the spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama. In the adjoining sacred garden you’ll find the pillar of Ashoka, ancient ruins of stupas, and maroon- and saffron-robed monks congregating under a sprawling Bodhi (pipal) fig decorated with prayer flags. Maya Devi Temple is set in the middle of the large 4km by 2.5km park grounds known as the Lumbini Development Zone. It comprises landscaped lakes and numerous monasteries that have been constructed by Buddhist communities from around the world.
- Transfer to the hotel after arrival in Lumbini. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Lumbini
- Breakfast in the hotel. A day to discover more of Lumbini.
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Lumbini to Chitwan
- Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Chitwan, which takes 5-6 hours. This is a picturesque journey passing through small towns, terraces, green hills, villages and providing majestic mountain views. You drive mostly along the bank of Trishuli River which provides a beautiful landscape. On your arrival, you are welcomed by our staff and after a lunch they will brief you about your further program. Full Board basis.
Day 08: Chitwan
- Jungle activities like Elephant back safari, elephant briefing, nature walk, canoeing as per program of the resort.
- Overnight at the hotel. Full Board basis.
Day 09: Chitwan to Kathmandu
- Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Kathmandu from Chitwan. Transfer to the hotel after arrival in Kathmandu. Free Time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Departure
- Breakfast at the hotel. On time transfer to the airport for flight to onward destination.
